Review of the Esure, Car Insurance:

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

1
Had a drunk driver crash into my parked car outside my house on 20th August. After an initial phone call all that happened was the offer of a courtesy car. I really didn't want to lose my car to write off so really wanted to wait and see what their damage assessment would be etc before being locked into a claim with them. Fast forward 4 weeks and absolutely zero contact from them. Finally after writing a bad review on Trustpilot they got in contact. Had taken my car to a local place for assessment of damage which I have shared with them. Two weeks later and just more radio silence from them. Utterly useless - how they are a "service" I have no idea. Will NEVER insure with eSure or other companies owned by them again even if it's the cheapest option. AVOID AVOID AVOID! They've rid me of my consumer rights

1
Had a bump in a car park, was blatently the 3rd party's fault. They've ruled that it was my fault. I've been advised to contact the 3rd party team in order to dispute fault. It is impossible to contact them. Spend up to 5 hours in the call queue, only for the call to disconnect at a random point. I've been trying most days for weeks to get through to someone in addition to sending many, many emails to various addresses that I've been given and to which I get zero responses from any of them. No clear complaints procedure either. The 3rd party has had the scratch repaired on their low value car, I've lost my NCB and they've sent me a renewal quote for more than 3x what I paid last year. I've been rid of all my consumer rights including my right to appeal liability. I will be getting the FCA involved and suing. Absolutely disgusting way to treat a client. It’s impossible to get through to claims department

1
It’s entirely impossible to get through to them over the phone in the claims department. I have phoned several times, waited for up to an hour and still didn’t manage to speak to anyone! Reviewed on: 5th January 2024

Pathetic

1
Tried to get on web chat to discuss renewal. Kept on hold for at least 40 minutes, then just as I was typing my request, the person said he was leaving the chat. I had to start all over again. Absolutely pathetic. Will not now renew with this bunch of cowboys. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2024

Impossible to reach

1
I have been trying to reach the company for almost a week via online chat or to call them. I need to update my payment details as their website does not allow me to do this online. The web chat has been unavailable and when I call I receive an automated response saying they are having technical issues. How do I rech them?? Reviewed on: 2nd January 2024

Truly shocking Car Insurance Company

1
If I could award minus stars here I would. 8 weeks into an ongoing, clear cut claim with them after a road traffic accident where a driver came into me head on as he was asleep at the wheel. My car was written off by their appointed garage 2 days after the incident yet 2 months on they are no closer to finding a resolution and are delaying and arguing amongst themselves as to what to do, clearly in an attempt to delay paying out to me. Even their call centre staff are in disbelief as to what has gone on. It takes well over an hour to even get through to someone and I have only ever found out information by calling myself. Under no circumstances would I recommend anyone getting car insurance through Esure. Absolutely disgraceful way of doing business. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2024

Abysmal customer service

1
Waited 3 hrs for them to answer only to be passed to another similar queue. I eventually took them to court for money owed, they now have a county court judgement against them which they have ignored. NEVER even consider taking out insurance with them there is a reason they are cheap. Reviewed on: 24th December 2023

OMG I AM IN A BAD BAD DREAM

Lets start with putting on a private number plate and trying to inform them of this waited 40 minutes on the phone only to speak with somebody who's English was shocking and told me to do it online somebody reversed into me so started a claim was txt a link to upload photos it didn't work then i went on the online chat paid a fee for my reg to be changed logged back in and it wasnt changed again went through the online chat tbh you get the idea no point in me wasting anymore of my time and yours the sooner my claim is settled i will be paying the cancelation fee and leaving shocking experience. A truly appalling insurance company

1
A truly appalling insurance company. Very poor customer service. Company rarely answers their phone so almost impossible to speak to anyone. Emails are ignored despite repeated requests for updates. When I finally managed to speak to an advisor she informed me that as I don't have legal cover they are unlikely to be able to chase the third party who hit my unattended car, despite them having clear CCTV of the accident. This had taken them over 6 months to tell me this! Not impressed and won't ever use this company again. Cheap prices = extremely poor customer service. Don't bother. Reviewed on: 11th December 2023

Just avoid - like the plague

1
Absolutely useless. Can't contact them to cancel a policy (sold the car), so they're now illegally insuring a car I no longer own... their web site is atrocious - the chat bot is jacked up on speed or the digital equivalent. The phone line automation is awful. I can't get my policy number because I can't log in, I can't get through to a person because (a) they never answer and (b) you need your policy number to get through the stupid automated system. And to top it off, I have over 6 months left on the policy and the 'admin fees' will be MORE than the refund value... it's going to COST ME to cancel. What an absolute joke.
