esure Claims Process: An Emotional and Mental Ordeal

Following a traumatic burglary, I reached out to esure, seeking solace and support through my contents insurance claim. Instead, I found myself embroiled in a process that has stretched beyond 2.5 agonizing months, each day adding to the weight of uncertainty and stress that has been eroding my mental well-being. Despite fulfilling every exhaustive request for documentation and repeatedly offering my full cooperation, I've been met with nothing but vague promises and a profound lack of progress. The impact of this ordeal goes far beyond frustration; it's a constant reminder of the violation of my personal space, making it incredibly difficult to find closure or begin the healing process. The seemingly indifferent response from esure, coupled with the absence of any tangible progress, has left me feeling neglected and invisible. At a time when I needed understanding and prompt action, I've felt increasingly isolated, battling not just the aftermath of a burglary but a fight for my own mental health. As a not at fault customer I have been unsupported since the date of the claim. Customer service both through the app and over the phone has been the worst I've ever experienced. I've been given conflicting advice and information from several agents. Spent two full days either on hold or being cut off and still waiting for update on claim. BULLY TACTICS DONT USE THIS COMPANY Disgusting company sending elderly customer dept collection and bailiffs letter 24 hours after cancelling her insurance. She tried to pay there and then and couldn’t. She tried doing it online and couldn’t. Was made impossible. She’s now had two bailiff threat letters within a week. Filthy disgusting bullies. Bullying an older lady for £24 Now reporting you to the ombudsman for and investigation. Should cost esure £750 for them to investigate. Disgusting filthy bullies. worst company don't ever insure with this insurance payed out a fake claim to a uber driver and now I have a claim on my policy , did not contact me about a claim and just payed out, please don't ever insure with this company. Absolute joke from start to well its still not resolved. Car was stolen from outside my drive outside my house on November- arguably, that wasn’t the most stressful thing to have happened- dealing with ESure was and still is. I am thousands out of pocket and that’s no just the car! Waited literally hours on the phone to try to get through to someone. Tried to get hire car. Even though supposed to be within 24 hours, was days afterwards as authorisation from email never came through. This was even after repeated calls. Tried online chat bot and equally bad. Hours waiting to be cut off. Same as on phone. I have literally emailed 30 times with just 2 responses. Have telephoned around 20 times. Now phone every week with lots of promises from call centre staff but nothing! Then have to repeat all following week. My phone bill for calling Esure was an extra £75 last month. Only call centre seems to be in South Africa with bad lines and repeated failing. I even tried to lodge a complaint but they couldn't even do that properly. I could go on. But Please Please don’t use. Avoid. Even if it means paying a little extra! Reviewed on: 23rd February 2024
