A careless attitude from Barclay's

Barclays blocked my card on the 8/11/2025 as they thought there had been fraud on the 3/11/2025. A new card was sent. This card was blocked before I had a chance to use it. Another card was sent which I never received. Numerous requests for a new card were made, no card arrived. It was not a case of not having a healthy balance. 18/12/2025 I still waiting for a new card. Barclay's staff are rude, interrupt when I am speaking and trying to shout me down. These people are all foreigners who by their attitudes should not be in a customer service environment. Barclay's have adopted the same attitude if could not care less. After 40 years as a customer I can say I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude shown by this once glorious bank Reviewed on: 18th December 2025

Fallen hard from grace

I thought Nationwide were good until I ran into a problem in which Nationwide blocked a card of mine for NO reason. Since then I have struggled to get any sense out of the bank group. I can phone and phone, I get the same answer. While they understand the fault it directly due to one of their staff they just do not realize what kind of predicament they have put me. Unable to withdrawal money, unable to get back home as I cannot pay for flights with cash, unable to get any cash. Nationwide gave fallen into the same clutches as the really poor - bad - banking groups - a place or set that is far from satisfactory and stinks of sewerage. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2025

Most insane and unfriendly bank

Barclays have let me down badly while I am abroad. Replaced my card without notifying me. Now stuck over 880 miles from home. Barclays error but note MY fault. Useless custer service who hide behind the phone wires.My advice, do NOT use Barclays, bank with them at your peril. Not even the CEO cares. 78 years, Heart and Cancer care patient, expectations d to walk home. Fly back to collect my car, what Wally's Reviewed on: 29th January 2024
