Happy customer

Staff always polite and friendly and very helpful in dealing with queries. The only thing I would suggest is that they send out information to remind customers that their account is nearing maturity as not all people remember details of their accounts. We regularly move colleagues between areas to suit business needs and to make sure we’re supporting customers where demand is highest. Good society

Decent products, fast turnaround with savings account. Would have preferred the option to have the payment made into bank account rather than posting a cheque Reviewed on: 16th June 2026

Very slow to open an account

Whilst the Mansfield staff were polite and helpful I felt that, even taking into account the need for rigor and diligence, it took an inordinately long time (and much chasing) to open a trust account with the Mansfield. Reviewed on: 10th June 2026

Reply from Mansfield Building Society Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry that opening the trust account took longer than expected and that you had to chase us for updates. Trust accounts do require more detailed due diligence checks, and recent high demand has added to processing times. Even so, the delay you experienced falls short of the standard of service we aim to provide. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience, and please accept our apologies. Olivia Saved The Day

We have saved for many years, sometimes the rates are very good sometimes not so good. We do find it difficult to withdraw funds as I cannot understand why we have branch accounts that can only withdraw funds from when I don’t think I have ever visited a branch. However Olivia at head office saved the day she was excellent and has sorted everything out for us……Honestly if we had to visit a branch we would have closed our accounts with the Mansfield……Olivia is a credit to the company.
