No account manager and just waiting to add fees whenever they can. Multiple times get payments turned down because staff cannot read authorised persons forms. Bank is a joke

    I been a victim of a fraud transaction from a fraud company named LUCKY2GO. I reported the same day to Metro bank, what happen was... I been a victim of a fraud transaction from a fraud company named LUCKY2GO. I reported the same day to Metro bank, what happen was that metro bank let the money from pending to be released but never try to charge back. Now they restricted my joint account with my wife which we been clients since 2016 and rather than chasing the real criminals they are holding us ransom and with bills to pay, from rent to council tax and credit cards. The way we've been treated is abismal. Metro bank should work for the clients not to criminal fraud company's. I'll never trust Metro bank ever again and now i have to go to litigation with them through ombudsman to the bank of England. Unbelievable. Read more Read less

    Great for basic accounts and highstreet branches

    Been with Metro Bank on and off, honestly mostly as an account ready to switch. They don't offer anything beneficial compared to other banks. They... Been with Metro Bank on and off, honestly mostly as an account ready to switch. They don't offer anything beneficial compared to other banks. They do have a lot of branches, but I find it takes a long time to speak to someone; a branch visit is usually takes an hour end to end. And there are a fair few things you have to go into branch to open or resolve. They did recently have a good savings rate, but sadly that dropped soon after opening, and was eclipsed by other banks offerings. Read more Read less

    Lots of recent negative changes

    Great bank when I joined 6 years ago. Now taking my money elsewhere as so many products and services withdrawn especially cancelling all credit cards... Great bank when I joined 6 years ago. Now taking my money elsewhere as so many products and services withdrawn especially cancelling all credit cards from 10 September, stopping fee free use of debit card abroad, reducing savings rates, and shutting down all money machines.     The worst bank for buiseness.

    The worst bank for buiseness. I Applied for a buiseness overdraft which was excepted. They took out a £200 fee Then blocked my buiseness account.... The worst bank for buiseness.     As someone who has been using metro bank for only a few years, I have been quite pleased with my experience. Under them I have... As someone who has been using metro bank for only a few years, I have been quite pleased with my experience. Under them I have opened a young savers account, as well as an adult over 18 account, and since then there have been no issues with my account or setting it up. Any issues that i may have had with my card, where money was taken has been instantly resolved, with a quick phone call or in store visit. The rewards on their young savers account are also particularly handy, and provide a strong incentive to save. Overall the customer service and the company itself are very good and trustworthy. Only problems I may have, is the changing in their opening times, which could make it slightly inconveniencing in some cases, but I am yet to have a truly bad experience with Metro Bank Read more Read less
