Monzo App sets the standard

The Monzo app is currently setting the benchmark for how good banking apps can be. Really easy to use with lots of great features. The product offerings aren't the strongest yet and they are beaten on interest rates by some competitors (such as Zopa), also it took them ages to offer a decent overdraft facility... but their app is really second to none. It's been well so far.

Friendly to immigrants.

Terrible

I opened a current account and it was closed. Emailed customer service slow response. Called the number was on hold and the women who answered didn’t sound like she wanted to be there. Told me I closed my account and I couldn’t apply for a new one for 30 days which I will not be doing. Reviewed on: 9th January 2025

Disgraceful bank.

Disgraceful bank. Poor service and incompetent staff. Many better alternatives! They cancel accounts with no reason, make errors when giving pay back details and take a lifetime to reply to any communication. Reviewed on: 4th January 2025

Good for everything

Efficient. Good at organising your money with pots(with decent interest i may add). Flawless when transferring money to other accounts - i had issues with transferring money to my investengine ISA using HSBC but Monzo worked every time. Also it can link your mortgage with your account and tell you how much equity you've built up - very nice feature Reviewed on: 27th November 2024

I am a huge fan of Monzo and have been a loyal customer for nearly six years. I have never encountered any issues with the bank and have only had positive experiences. From receiving my salary a day early to seamlessly transferring money and resolving disputes, Monzo has consistently exceeded my expectations. Reviewed on: 18th November 2024
