Great help from PayPal for large purchases

Being a single parent and not being able to afford expensive items, PayPal enables me to do this! And 4 months without interest is fantastic! There is no way that I could pay for the big items without this option. Reviewed on: 4th June 2024

Incredibly underhanded and sneaky way of conducting...

Incredibly underhanded and sneaky way of conducting a business. I set up a credit agreement with PayPal Credit on the condition that they would take payments out of my bank account on a monthly basis. They delibrately didn't stick to this agreement so they could add late payment fees. This goes against our agreement. As a result, I am reporting them to the financial ombudsman. PayPal Credit is committing financial fraud.

Without warning or explanation, £288 was taken from my account. When I called customer service, they refused to explain the charge and told me to “read the statement myself.” When I pushed for answers, they abruptly ended the call. This is not a one-off the same thing happened to my neighbor. PayPal is taking money without consent or transparency. This is theft, plain and simple. I’m closing my account and urging others to do the same. We need to speak out before more people are affected. Reviewed on: 5th April 2025

So intuitive and great features!

2 Weeks for Payment to Reflect in Available Credit

I escalated to customer service manager, and he said "it's in the terms and agreement," while mentioning the 48-72 is for it to reflect in balance, but not available credit. So, I am essentially loaning Paypal my money for 2 weeks. When I would ask a question, he would say "would you like me to send you the terms and agreement?" I explained, this occurred after making a payment of $3200 instead of my intended $320. I immediately realized my mistake and tried to cancel the payment when I received "system is currently having issues" message. When I logged out and went back in, I did not have the option to cancel. This is not how a credit card company works, and have never had this happen in over 30years of using credit cards. Do NOT look at Paypal Credit as anything like any kind of credit line or credit card you've ever used. They have things they need to fix. Buyer Beware! Reviewed on: 18th February 2025

Poor account management

Their system for managing payments is shockingly bad, very poorly managed. The misinformation on my account led to a missed payment, which thankfully was resolved, but I have no trust in them at all. Reviewed on: 10th February 2025

few days ago I had to email for the customer service...

few days ago I had to email for the customer service because of the payment date to change .I struggling paying on the 4th .So i did asked if they could help me to change to the 8th.I can pay put not that day what they giving to me.AILISH was nice emailed me back saying she will forward my email to the Credit department so they will getting touch with me..Nobody get back to be since ..Iam so stressed to get fees etc..Really affect my mental health can't sleep ..I cant give 5 starts coz my problem still not been solved . Better commissions honestly

I made an account with them! At least they're charging less than regulars thieves banks.. I've sent some money I owed to a friend that's currently in Mexico. Had to pay like 50 euros in commissions man.. At least with PayPal the transfer is quicker and they have less commissions, thank you God Reviewed on: 8th October 2024

Recommended though give it a little thought before hand

Being able to pay for expensive items within a few months is always nice to have though the date of the payment can be quite annoying the minimum payment as it would be nice to choose the date but I guess it's due to security. Reviewed on: 6th September 2024
