Great people, excellent rate, dreadful on-line processes.

Love the Family BS but it's IT systems are so far behind other financial services. Withdraws on my smartphone (Pixel4a) are a nightmare. Withdrawals are not Fast Pay and take ages if there is weekend or a public holiday involved. Reviewed on: 29th December 2023

We are always looking at ways in which we can improve our service to customers and we are currently looking at solutions in this regard. As we’re not a direct member of the clearing system, we access payment services through our bank, and the withdrawal timescales are clearly set out in the information we provide. Great find and quick response

Great place to find information and to open competitive savings account but is needing a revamp of website or app to make it more useable without finding a PC. Also for some reason the about me page only mentions that they serve England and Wales … I can assure you as a Scottish customer this is not the case. Reviewed on: 28th December 2023

Famility Building Soceity just makes it so easy!

When our fixed 1 year savings period was up in November 2023, we looked at alternatives for our investments. Famility Building Soceity were offering very competitive rates specifically for existing customers like ourselves. We found the flexibility of several fixed saving periods with various rates really helpful in terms of our decision making. We chose 18 months, which was most convenient in terms of our medium term financial planning. One simple phone call to Nicole on the 6th of November answered a few questions, just to ensure we had correctly understood the terms and conditions. Nicole was most attentive, listened to us carefully and was empathetic to our needs. Nicole offered us the option of completing the transaction on the phone or in writing - we chose the latter since we prefer that where financial matters are involved. Overall we have found Family Building Society an excellent organisation to invest with, and we appreciate their loyalty to us as a customer - something we don't take for granted. Good rates, good service

I have a variable rate savings account - the website is easy to use, and when the BofE interest rates went up, they responded very quickly with improved interest on my savings. It was also quite easy to speak to a real person when I rang customer service. Reviewed on: 26th November 2023
