1st Class Service

During my recent telephone call I received all of the information that I needed to help me proceed. The advisor (Catherine Croucher) provided a very friendly, efficient service & was easy to deal with. Apart from above, Catherine went 'above & beyond' when early on in the tel call - the line was cut off (probably my mob). When she tried to call back & couldn't get through - she made a second attempt to call my alternative landline number (which must have been on record) & finally managed to re-connect with me. We dealt with a very pleasant young man who went through security questions. However, my father is very elderly, and was finding it difficult to answer. We could have returned the questionnaire back but had not received an envelope so we had to phone. It would have been useful to have been aware of all of the questions eg national insurance number (which we could not find) beforehand. Otherwise, the gentleman was very kind and professional. Good interest while it lasts, and good customer service

I've been with Family BS for a few years. They are one of several banks/building societies who regularly offer competitive interest rates. Sadly, as with all banks, you have to keep an eye for interest rates later being lowered. Particularly disappointing that the windfall bond has recently become a lot less attractive. Customer service is good - It's refreshing to get through reasonably quickly by phone and for me it's a big help to get a customer services agent with a British accent as I really struggle with accents. However the customer service line would ideally be open for longer as sometimes you need help outside of office hours. Reviewed on: 17th April 2025
