A sham of a bank. I'm closing my business bank account after experiencing first hand how awful they are. The customer service is rude, incompetent and appalling. I made an online bank transfer once and the money just 'disappeared into the ether' and they couldn't even trace what happened to it! What a joke hey? You'd think they were only using pen and paper, and mailing pigeons for their banking operations. And then out of the blue they tell me they are closing my account, for no reason, and rudely order me to return any cheque books and credit cards. My business account has always been healthily in credit too. I'm not going to waste my time, effort and state of mind on suing this bank for all the trouble it has caused me. How on earth is this bank allowed to operate; why hasn't the UK's banking regulator shut this bank down that's what I want to know? Reviewed on: 24th November 2018

SHOCKINGLY BAD EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH! Firstly it took over 3 months to open the account because the application process is insane. They sent back our application SIX TIMES! Each time we would re-do and resend it, wait another week while they re-reviewed it, and then each time they’d tell us some new thing was missing or incorrect. Meaning the review team kept missing each mistake the five previous times. Then once the account was finally open, the online and app user experiences are both incredibly limited in what you can actually do. The app is the worst. You literally cannot even do an international transfer or search for a transaction farther back than 6 months! Then when we received our first large payment from a new client (£85k) they froze our account without contacting us first and kept it frozen for over a week while they claimed to be verifying the source of the payment! We ended up losing the client because this, in turn, caused us to be delayed over a week in beginning the project since we couldn't access the necessary funds! We made multiple complaints about this which were ignored and finally we received a letter saying they reviewed the situation and found themselves to be in no fault. That was the final straw. We closed the account and moved to Barclays which has been fabulous so far. WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE EVER. AVOID! Reviewed on: 12th May 2025

TSP Banking’s business banking service is extremely disappointing. They frequently threaten to freeze customer accounts without valid reasons, seriously disrupting customers' normal operations. This practice causes significant inconvenience and frustration. Such poor service severely damages customer trust and needs immediate improvement. Do not choose TSP – their service is terrible! Ok there is my experience with TSB that I will share everywhere is possible till I get compensation or someone from TSB go to the jail for taking overpower against TSB customers!!!! For all TSB customers listening this !!!! ( and change your bank as soon as possible ) I was trying to transfer money for car that my wife purchased and that was less than £2000… while transferring money for my purchase my account was frozen (blocked) by TSB !!! I couldn’t finish my transaction and a huge deal that I had it’s gone because TSB bank won’t let me pay for my purchase!!!! Than listening this please !!!! I called to TSB bank for explanation and asked for immediately unlocking my account!!! It took me 3hours before I get someone to speak !!! Than I get questions like for what I want to pay for .. which is not a bank business to know for what is it !!! that was only £1800 not a £30k .. than finally I told them ok that was a payment for a car that I’ve seen already and like to go ahead and pay for it … TSB told me that I can’t pay for a car till I get it delivered to my address than I can call them again and they will unlock that payment ( please note when I called TSB that was Monday and car should be delivered on Friday .. so to be clear they told me that I have to wait 4-days and call TSB when car will be delivered home at Friday than I have to call TSB back tell them that car is there I’m happy and please let me pay for my car!!!! This is simply over power by Bank TSB which is scandalous and illegal !!!! There is no chance that someone will drive 360miles to mine for free to show me a car !!! I’m warning all customers!!!! Change your bank!!!! To be very clear I’m a 16-years TSB customer.. TSB never had a single issue with me!!! Scandalous!!! Reviewed on: 29th December 2024

Now looking for alternative bank

IIncredibly inflexible & unhelpful. They only communicate on their terms & at their convenience. They wrote to me in July when I was out of the country for a prolonged period. Instead of messaging me to ask me to get in touch they sent a 2nd letter threatening to close my account if I did not contact them. I did eventually manage to speak to someone (after 2 separate x 15 minute waits). The matter turned out to be something fairly minor & didn’t merit a threat. The customer service guy didn’t listen to what I told him. I told him to re-send documents for signing. Two days after this I discovered that payments due on my business card had been refused by the bank … coincidence? It’s Sunday. I tried phoning their fraud department but having gone through the interminable “press this”, & citing “suspicious activity on my account” as the reason for the call & the automated voice said: “Fraud on your account. The office is now closed”. Well, that’s all right then, I feel my money is in safe hands here. NOT. Reviewed on: 15th September 2024

Hands down the WORST business bank ever.

Hands down the WORST business bank ever. Basic system, no PDF downloads of statements. So if you need a loan, or any credit, you WONT get it with TSB.. absolute joke of a bank and one to AVOID Reviewed on: 22nd August 2024

They won’t let me transfer funds

They won’t let me transfer funds from. TSB current account to a TSB mortgage because is more than £25000. I have to do it at £25000 a day! Reviewed on: 21st March 2024

Poor systems, heavy bureacracy

Have had my account for a few months and the function of this bank is appalling. Over heavy fraud checks restrict the ability to function as a business. Interface and app function is also poor. Very long wait times on the phone for support. Am switching to Monzo right now whilst on hold with TSB to resolve another issue. AVOID if you want to do any kind of business. Unprofessional

The person who was dealing with me asked me to provide them documents of 2024 and we are in 2023 and they just made an issue on purpose.when i said to them you need more training because how can i send you 2024 documents which didn’t even start yet so they made an accuse for that. I went with barclays and i am more then happy that i just left TSB their services are always down too. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2023
