Rude customer service with no knowledge

1
Got account frozen due to suspicious activity brought them all evidence what was required. Said they will look in to it and told it will take 24h to review , came back after 3days told me its gonna take another 24h came back exact same day then told me we are not dealing with fraud in branch nothing we can do and the woman who deals with our fraud case is gone to holiday.Week went by came back she told me they needed more information came next day brought back all required information. Bank account frozen 9th of June its 18July they are telling me they are reviewing the information . If you have TSB Bank Account just run from them if you will get any problems it will take forever to solve and none of them can provide with accurate answers one day say one thing the other something completely different keep telling lies and lies. AVOID Move Assets internet banking lagging and slow. Reviewed on: 18th July 2020

Easy and sensible

Opened up a business account to get a bounce back loan. Efficient, seamless, painless and fee free for a fixed period. Decent product from an everyday company. The website/app are not intuitive to navigate and take a while to get used to. Reviewed on: 12th July 2020

ARROGANT, LIE, AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS

1
I LEFT TSB TWO YEARS AGO after failing to support me with a section 75 claim which should have been refunded for failing and faulty service, they did not stand by me. Poor customer service also made me leave, only used it as a savings current account as such a poor bank customer service wise so didn't deserve the business. I emptied my account and wrote to close it. Never heard from them again until a year later i get a email out of the blue. In it I find they had not closed the account PAID a automatic payment to an insurance company I was completely unaware of and then been adding interest for a year without sending any letters or anything a whole year or more. I wrote a complaint stating I had closed the account why were you paying people from a closed account. They did not close it and stated they did not receive my letter which i do not believe at all. SO if this was fact, Why would a bank then keep adding interest to a dormant account with no money in it or transactions for a year without contacting the person? It is appalling to keep adding interest to a dormant account that no one has accessed at all since TSB made the autopayment a year, before as they had failed to close it. Something wrong her win protecting customers. Auto payments should never be allowed to be taken anyway as people change accounts regularly. SO TSB is liable here I went to The FSO where TSB told them they had been posting me statements for a year, i kept denying it as 12 statements or more don't get missing, I pressed for investigation it tuned out they had only sent them to the online account, keeping accounts one paying auto payments you have not sanctioned and try to deceive you with interest, on an account which was supposed to have been closed. So TSB will lie through their teeth and argue the opposite of the truth. A untruthful firm who will fabricate anything, make out they have not had your letters and not stand by you as there customer, SO many complaints like this the ombudsman should be investigating all cases of complaint as there is so many. Don't let TSB get away with lies and poor service, take it to the ombudsman, they need to be shut down. Reviewed on: 17th June 2020

Worst service I have ever had

1
Over 4 weeks ago I applied for a business account with TSB. I proved my identity and was told it would be 2 days. Still not heard a thing, call them and they are to busy. Ask for a call back and they don’t call back. The log in details ask for the same thing over and over again, process application. It then sends a email saying we have received your application please prove identity. Horrendous service. I really hope this is not affecting the credit score. Reviewed on: 10th June 2020

Take your business elsewhere.

1
TSB couldn't organise the proverbial. They have never recovered from the massive computer cock-up last year. Indeed the service and facilities have got much worse overall. For example, something as simple as printing off a list of a customer's Direct Debits/Standing Orders can no longer done in the branch - why?. Another: despite my wife and I both being named on our joint account, only my name shows up on a statement printed from on-line banking. Thus, how does one prove to another financial institution that it IS a joint account, when they ask for a PDF bank statement? And now, every time I try and log into my accounts (any of them - business or personal), I have to go through being sent a One Time Code, despite being told on the screen that if I go through the 'Trusted Device' procedure, this will stop? (I know all banks will have to adopt O.T.C.s by law soon, but why offer a current alternative that won't work?). BTW, I have written this while waiting on the 'phone for TSB customer services to answer - it's been over three quarters of an hour - "we'll be with you soon". I don't think so! If I had the time I would transfer all of our TSB accounts elsewhere. In fact, it's getting to the stage that it might take less time to do that than continue with all the problems TSB are causing. My advice to anyone looking for even the minimum service and function from a bank is, don't bother with TSB. Reviewed on: 8th June 2020

Sham of a bank

1
A sham of a bank. I'm closing my business bank account after experiencing first hand how awful they are. The customer service is rude, incompetent and appalling. I made an online bank transfer once and the money just 'disappeared into the ether' and they couldn't even trace what happened to it! What a joke hey? You'd think they were only using pen and paper, and mailing pigeons for their banking operations. And then out of the blue they tell me they are closing my account, for no reason, and rudely order me to return any cheque books and credit cards. My business account has always been healthily in credit too. I'm not going to waste my time, effort and state of mind on suing this bank for all the trouble it has caused me. How on earth is this bank allowed to operate; why hasn't the UK's banking regulator shut this bank down that's what I want to know? Reviewed on: 24th November 2018

Not a business bank

1
TSB don't seem to understand small business an seem more keen to grab market share than update their systems and processes, simple things like setting up a small overdraft take weeks and need unnecessary amounts of paperwork. Setting up on line banking or telephone banking is also a joke, they have no real business app only an authentication app which they forced on customers with no alternative and doesn't always work. In short, if you are looking for a business account avoid TSB, they are 10 years behind everyone else. Reviewed on: 25th April 2018

Useless

1
Mush be the worst customer service ever ! I've had the same buissiness account for 20 years ( originally Lloyds they were great then got moved to TSB by them ) since then I've never even had to make a call to them to see who my relationship manager is , until now !! The account has never had an overdraft or been in the red , paying in circa £400000 per year with a 6 figure balance . I resently contacted them to open a new buissiness account what a mistake ! I got some clueless computer screen robot that wanted to as 1000 questions about what it will be doing , where it will be trading , they wanted to see my last 3 years accounts for the original buissiness ( took copies to the local branch for them verifie me and send copy's to head office ) but they did not call me back I had to call to chase up . I was then told after 65 mins interview on the phone that I was accepted for a new account but had to prove the trading address ( another trip to the local branch ) a few days later to be called and asked to send more proof as the first lot was not enough !! . At this point a gave up the will to live so told them to forget it and I went to Natwest where it was all sorted out for me no problem . They have now lost that account that would of payed money in with no overdraft or loan , and I will be now moving my main buissiness account over to ( 20 year of buissiness with them ) god help anyone that wants to open a buissiness account with them from fresh and lend money you will be very disappointed .
