Contacting customer services

Had to contact customer services after i misplaced my credit card. I was on the phone no more than ten minutes total. Customer service cancelled my card and issued another all without any messing about and being put on hold. Very happy Reviewed on: 10th April 2016

Money when you need it

Capital one credit card is brilliant for when you need to buy something now but payday is a bit away. If you need shopping you can buy now and pay on pay day. The online site for capital one is very easy to understand and use. Making a payment or just checking your balance is so easy. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Easy to see where i stand

I have a capital one classic credit card and this review is about the online site and the ease of using it. I have found it really easy to log in and see where my balance stands and all my purchases and payments are all on one screen so no need for me to keep having to look for things. All transactions appear really quickly so that day to day you know what you have spent and when you see that must have item, its very easy to see if you have enough on your balance to purchase it. Brilliant when credit history is bad

Being a full time mum and having a poor credit history I didn't have much hope in getting a card, but Capital one accepted me and gave me an average credit limit. They quickly increased the limit too after regularly using and paying off the card. Highly recommend Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Higher interest rate but reminders are good

Sinc I last had a credit card, things have changed a fair bit - now everything can be done online of course. Capital One has its own app and you can get email and text alerts which really do help make sure you pay on time. No issues so far. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Brilliant Experience for a First Credit Card!

I've held my Capital One credit card for just over a year and have never had a problem. I like that you can set up email or text alerts to let you know when you are getting close to your limit and if you have gone beyond it. It means that it's so much easier to keep track of how much you're spending and how much you have left to spend. I also really like the secure messaging facility. I'm unable to use the phone due to a disability and this makes it so much easier for me to get in touch with Capital One and also, because it's the messaging service direct from your account, you don't need to type out all of your details because they have them all already. I have always found the Capital One customer service to be really good and my messages are usually replied with within 24 hours. The advisers are also very helpful. This is my first credit card and so far I am very happy with my experience of this company. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Excellent service over 15 years

I have had a Capital One credit card for 15 years and have nothing but praise for the service. When an online accommodation company went bust I got my money back from Capital One, the whole process was very quick and painless. I have also benefitted from cashback so I have no hesitation in recommending Capital One. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Poor experience with Capital One

Now the card itself was alright, no complaints with regards to payment limits etc. but when I wanted to change my address, boy did I have a job! In total, I spent almost three hours on hold (yes, I did time it! That's how bored I was!) over the course of three days trying to change my details. I really don't know why they were incapable of either answering the phone or putting me through to the correct department but I paid the balance shortly afterwards and cancelled my card. If they can't even manage a simple request like this, I dread to think how they are treating our personal data. So whilst I appreciate that this is more of a rant than a review, there are more cards of this ilk around these days, offering similar interest rates and I feel sure that they would offer a far superior service.
