Rubbish service

Although not at fault, I've had to pay an excess which after 3 months has still not been refunded. They outsource the repair and courtesy car, and now I've bee contacted by the car hire company for the same information (again) so they can claim their costs back. Apparently I may be liable even though the car provided is part of the insurance. I've been with Churchill for over 20 years and can't believe how awful they've become, no customer service at all. Do not take Churchill car insurance

Please be careful do not take Churchill Car Insurance, they will leave people to live in hardship! anyone who has insurance change mind and take another car insurance. Their client smashed into my car drink driving and Churchill take away my car and left with 2k finance to pay , even knowing that it can cost me loose my job!!! Car insurance claim. Not my fault

No loyalty shown to existing customers

I am due for renewal and was shocked to see a 67% increase, on top of this I have unfortunately had to add 3 points for speeding which took the policy way off the Richter scale to a 200% increase. I’ve never claimed and in fact felt the guy I spoke to didn’t really care and was not interested in my custom. Suffice to say I will never use this company again. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2023

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This is without doubt the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with in over 40 years. My car was written off through no fault of my own and was offered/made to accept a valuation well below the replacement value. I’m well out of pocket and know taking this to the Ombudsman. Quality cover at a good price.

We went with Churchill as it had good quality comprehensive cover with relevant optional add-ons. The total price was competitive. It represented good value for money. Reviewed on: 26th August 2023

Awful and Racism experienced

First time I've experienced racism at the hands of an insurance company whilst trying to obtain a policy. I explained that I was looking for a quote as I had been offered a delivery driver job but I hadn't accepted it yet. The member of staff was very rude, cut me off and reported me for insurance fraud resulting in myself being banned. I appealed the decision to the insurance ombudsman - I lost the job offer and took out more costly insurance elsewhere. In the end they barely compensated me for the time I was on cover with them ( 1 week or so). If you are from an ethnic minority - you may wish to avoid at all costs! Reviewed on: 25th August 2023

Seems like a good product, best price, auto-renew irritating

The insurance policy meets my needs and was the lowest quote I got. I wasn't happy about auto-renew being switched on by default and, despite what was written on the sign-up page, it can't easily be turned off in my account - I have to contact customer service to get that done.
