SHOCKING DO NOT USE!!

***WORTH READING*** After uploading my NCD certificate into the Churchill customer portal and been accepted I obtain my insurance certificate and all is well, or is it......... A few weeks after taking out my policy I receive a letter advising I owe money to Churchill for an overlap on my NCD against another vehicle. I question why I would pay this £42 charge when my NCD certificate was accepted and money taken from my account, for the new policy no response from Churchill. I then receive a second letter advising Churchill can no longer insure me past August 2017. Ok no issue I will go hunting for a better deal next year. Still they take payments from my account. A week passes by and then I receive a letter (back dated) advising me I am no longer insured on my vehicle and my policy is void. To put it into context I had been driving nearly a week completely oblivious I was uninsured because Churchill decided to cancel my insurance policy without any notification other than a letter advising my policy would end in August 2017. What started as a small discrepancy about a fee surrounding my NCD has now quickly escalated into a potential small claims for Churchill as I've taken it to a lawyer to deal with. Churchill kept all of the money I paid for my policy, have taken no responsibility for their admin faults, I've had to take out a brand new policy with another provider and to compound how bad Churchill are they then charged me an extra fee because somehow their issue is my fault and their customer services team have gone into hiding as no one their has the decency to do the right thing and call an ex customer to smooth it over and accept liability. An abysmal company with zero morals, no customer care and no responsibility to their customers or other road users. I would hate to think what would have happened if I had crashed Churchill. Excellent service claim dealt with quickly and fairly.

I had a near miss accident which caused the third party to hit the curb. My no claims discount was affected on renewal. However the third party failed to make a claim and Churchill reinstated my no claims discount and refunded me the increase in my premium automatically Reviewed on: 22nd October 2016

7 months and counting and still no closure on accident claim

I was involved in an incident whereby a van carrying a trailer had knocked into the side of my car, causing damage to the side of the vehicle. Unfortunately there were no independent witnesses so understandably, Churchill advisers had advised me to access a 50:50 liability split which I begrudgingly accepted (other driver did not accept liability). Fast forward 7 months from the incident, there has still been no closure despite 7 months of chasing up Churchill to chase up the other parties representatives. Churchill have had no pro activity in this case, and any progress made has been as a result of myself chasing Churchill. Each time I connect through with them, they tell me it's because they've been 'very busy' which explains why no one has made progress with the settlement. Disappointing, I hope no one else receives this type of service. I for one will not been tempted by their low prices again, its worth paying a little bit extra for better customer care. Brilliant customer service

Being a young driver Churchill were by far the cheapest for me with the box discount and their box is brilliant no curfews no fuss of a minimum score and is very fair. Just about to renew with them and again smashed all other prices I was quoted. Every time I've contact them they've been brilliant and always have a great response as my surname is actually Churchill. They've even sent me a freebie for being with them would always recommend! Best price

After going through the various price comparison sites, Churchill offered the best price. Entering my details took less than 5 minutes and I was all done for another year. Haven't made a claim so can't comment on that aspect of the service. Reviewed on: 25th September 2016

Overall pretty happy with my service, but annoyingly, they try to raise your monthly premiums around your renewal date - which leads to a cat and mouse game of getting them to lower it again, or you'll leave. They'd have full stars if they didn't do this, but it makes you feel undervalued as a customer. Reviewed on: 25th September 2016
