1) M&S are now behaving like other companies and 'rewarding' loyalty with price hikes.
2) I am deaf and cannot teleophone them but most of the functions are not available on their website and there is no chatline facility. At about 10:00am today (5/10/20) they took their website down for maintenance so even that is not available - no warning or explanation they just pulled the plug!

M&S Car insurance certainly know how to avoid customer service.

Avoid at all costs.

How tiresome of these big high street stores to jump on every bandwagon from utilities to vehicle insurance. M&S just quoted me £300 above what I've been paying other insurance companies for the last 3 years!
They need to get a grip and use fair decent insurance subcontractors to give a fair and true value. A great company mismanaged, sliding down the ladder to oblivion. I don't even buy my shirts from them anymore. Used them all my adult life, 69 now and I can not remember the last time I went into one of their stores.

How tiresome of these big high street stores to jump on every bandwagon from utilities to vehicle insurance. M&S just quoted me £300 above what I've been paying other insurance companies for the last 3 years!
They need to get a grip and use fair decent insurance subcontractors to give a fair and true value. A great company mismanaged, sliding down the ladder to oblivion. I don't even buy my shirts from them anymore. Used them all my adult life, 69 now and I can not remember the last time I went into one of their stores.

Lost the will to live

Have spent over 2 hours trying to reactivity my online account and getting absolutely nowhere. Followed instructions on line and Then phoned them, first call sounded like the person was on another planet and couldn’t understand a word they said, second call I was told my account was unblocked, left it half an hour and retried, again it said it didn’t recognise my password and blocked me again. Went back on line to try and reset it again on to have a page with M&S Bank on the top but the rest of the page blank.
I’ve now given up and intend to close my account and use my bank instead.

I have a credit card with M&S bank. It's the most frustrating credit card I've ever had. When you want to spend online more times than most you receive a text asking you to confirm you've made the transaction, all fine at this point. On then replying "Yes" you have to go back and re enter all your card details. This would be fine but, on more than one occasion this process has happened m, it has ended up with ordering multiple items, even though I've rang to ask if my order has actually been processed. In order to discuss your credit card on the phone (although you've entered your card details, dob etc) you then get asked (yes I've counted) 6 further questions to pass security! The WORST credit card I've ever had. Try AA credit card they're amazing :0)

I have plenty of money in the bank luckily I'm not poor but this gives an insight into the disgusting preducice this bank has for the poor. My salary prior to being made unemployed was over 50k, I hope to report them.

I have contents insurance with M&S and I have to say I am so happy with their most definitely 5 star service and think they really do deserve an 5 star review. A crane collapsed beside my apartment on July 8th and M&S called ME to ask me if I was OK and if there was anything they could do. My property management agency didn't even do that. My policy only allows up to 3 months unoccupied, and we are not allowed back to the property for at least 6 months. Instead of a point blank "it's not covered", or charging a lot to keep exclusions (such as theft/water damage) to the property as it's unoccupied for so long, M&S Customer Service told me they would extend the cover. I am so happy with them. A couple of residents in the same building that I'm friendly with were not even able to pay to keep their contents insurance. I will never get content insurance with anyone else!

Customer Service person was in the Philippines. Line kept breaking up.

Somehow I managed to lock my credit card. Helpline person was based in Philippines - I asked because I could hardly understand what he said and the line was dreadful. I now have new card. Trying to validate by their automatic line was a nightmare. Kept getting disconnected part way through and finally managed to speak to someone this morning who was able to do this. Really dislike the new security system for logging in. I am paying off my balance and then will be cancelling and cutting up cards. I have had their credit card for so many years - but this just isn't worth the hassle. I just wish I hadn't taken out their house insurance - they don't deserve the custom.

My wife and I are absolutely disgusted at the lack of service and lies from M&S Bank. I spoke to the bank on the 30-7-20 to ask for funds to be transferred from our savings account to our lawyers to pay for the deposit on our new house (£207k). I was told they would have to transfer the funds into our current account and that someone from security would call us on the 31-7-20 to action the transfer. I was working and therefore asked them to call my wife that day to activate as she is joint account holder. This transaction was to enable us to exchange contracts for completion 7-8-20. To cut a long story very short, no call was received from the bank and despite numerous calls and promises it would be completed that day, the money is still sitting in our account! It's the lies that upset us the most and in these unprecedented times we could even deal with the family background noises as their staff are working from home. Who knows when our lawyers will receive our money and if we will even manage to complete next week. We've lost the will to be honest and M&S Bank, SHAME ON YOU.....

Unhelpful - would give them a ZERO if that was an option.

Insured my car with M&S. Two months later my car died and needed a new engine. As it was under guarantee I asked M&S if they could insure my courtesy car until my car was fixed to which the answer was a big fat NO! My call was escalated to complaints...

As it was under guarantee I asked M&S if they could insure my courtesy car until my car was fixed to which the answer was a big fat NO! My call was escalated to complaints dept where I was informed by FAYE SHERATON that there was nothing they could do to help! Really? I WASN'T ASKING FOR A FREEBIE, JUST TEMPORARY INSURANCE FROM A COMPANY THAT I ALREADY HAD INSURANCE with. Unhelpful, discourteous staff. Once a so called pillar of the community, M&s has forgotten what it stood for, has no integrity or after sales and wants to fleece you. DISGRACEFUL!! I give them a ONE because ZERO was not on the choice option. SHAME ON YOU MARKS AND SPENCER!!

The application process was easy to understand, the approval was through quickly and the money in my bank in very promptly. The interest rates were good, everything was clearly explained in plain English. When I unfortunately was made redundant, they happily suspended my payments for 6 months with no additional interest and didn't pester or threaten me during this time. Very understanding and supportive company
