Returning unused currency

We bought currency for a holiday in Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam which didn’t occur because of Trump’s War. We expected to get a poor rate for returning money but M&S were great. They recommended we contact their team & explain our situation. They paid us back what we had paid out so we lost nothing. Great customer service Reviewed on: 7th March 2026

Minimum £150 spend on currency not mentioned

I wanted to buy 130usd on line and collect at local branch -when I entered the amount response was minimum 200usd . I queried at the branch and they suggested rung customer service . It was only then that I was informed there is a minimum £150 spend . It would be do easy for M&S to put this on their first page , rather than telling customers it is ‘fuss free’ . Very Disappointed.

Very Disappointed. Would Not Recommend I ordered Singapore Dollars and Indonesian Rupiah online through the M&S preferential rate service a week before my trip. I received a confirmation email with the date, time, and specific store location for collection. When I arrived at the store, the manager informed me they did not have the currency. Rather than offering a solution, I was told I’d have to check other stores myself to find it, incredibly unhelpful and unacceptable given I had a confirmed order. As a result, I had to travel abroad without any local currency, which caused unnecessary stress at the start of my trip. To make matters worse, I submitted a formal complaint, and M&S have yet to respond. This lack of accountability and poor customer service was very disappointing. Based on this experience, I would NOT recommend using M&S for currency exchange. Reviewed on: 11th October 2025

Best rate but high denomination notes

Best rate for Euros click and collect in store. Unfortunately €200 of the €500 are €50 notes, which from past experience are sometimes refused and often looked on with suspicion. Won't be using M&S online again. Reviewed on: 8th March 2025

Self service currency exchange

Just used crazy new self service currency exchange system. What a appalling system huge screens that allow everyone to see your details. Then still have to queue to see a customer service person who can deal with the currency ordered Reviewed on: 3rd July 2023

Clothes

It has an amazing clothes with reasonable price. First time I went there I got wrong product from them when I have returned their product to them the customer was a lovely and help me out promptly. Since that date I go for shopping. Reviewed on: 4th April 2023
