Age Discrimination

Waiting over 100 days for M & S bank to respond to a chargeback request for a cancelled holiday. They are not sympathetic or helpful to elderly customers. Please don't use M & S if you're not 100% tech savvy.

Having had my card for weeks now, I have still not been able to register for online banking despite going through the lengthy process countless times. The final stage of the process involved ringing M&S and waiting forever...never did get an answer. I wasted too much time with this card so it is going to be shredded unfortunately I can't cancel it because that involves ringing a non-answering phone again!

Thirteen hundred and eleven pounds matches £1311 doesn't it?
The lady from India said that is does not. After nearly an hour on the phone!!
I can see why my local Marks and Spencer store has closed. Everything about M & S is now hopeless. Such a shame.

After seeing them come up on several comparison sites including moneysupermarket who I usually find quite trust worthy, I thought I'd give this one a go as I wanted to carry out a 0% interest balance transfer.

Well, the only modern part of the application was applying for it online. When I read I'd receive the terms in the post I presumed the card would come along with it too, alongside my limit. Well they did send terms but that was for me to sign and return before they send a card. (Do they recruit people who did office work in the 80s and couldn't adapt to computers?) .

So after receiving my card I wanted to sort out the balance transfer, to do this I had to register for an account, but to pass the security questions I needed to know my limit, at which point I couldn't proceed because they hadn't told me. I then had to call someone who went through enhanced security in order to sort this out. The app is very outdated, you can't even amend the way you want to make a payment, or change the amount, you have to call!

Very clunky, so far not amazed. Will see how this goes long term.

I chose to apply for this card over others due to the reward/cashback potential that comes with accumulating points for vouchers and the introductory points to get an easy £25 to spend at M&S - all it takes!

Requested a credit card approximately a month ago and still not received my card. Was told it takes 2 weeks from returning paperwork which I did promptly. I rang after 2 weeks to see if they had paperwork and was told ‘yes we got it but we’re really busy at the moment - wait for another 2 weeks’. Still not got it. I will then have to order the second card for my wife as can’t order 2 straight away. They don’t even confirm for definite what the actual credit limit is until you get the card. Compared to other companies really slow service and delaying me from purchasing some big items from M&S ironically

Not the best service really. Took 3 weeks to get a card at all, I had to return paper terms and conditions which they misplaced for a week. No additional cardholder like I requested, got to wait 2 weeks to have the additional cardholder credit checked!? App and online banking are very basic, can't view cardholders or view/change direct debit. App doesn't show pending transactions, only complete ones. Card constantly asks for 3dsecure password when making payments. Reward points are extremely low.

Only plus side is the actual deal - I got a high limit and 30 months purchase interest free.
