Savings Deposits

As from 1st April -appropriately April Fools Day- payment into any savings account has to be made in cash, online or by setting up a standing order. In my opinion this is unfair to customers who do not bank online and don’t want to make a trip to the bank followed by one to the Monmouthshire to deposit money. It’s very ageist although my daughter in her early 50’s is of the same opinion. The point of a passbook is to use it and be able see your deposit, balance and withdrawals. This is no reflection on counter staff in Newport might I add Reviewed on: 31st March 2025

Fabulous staff at Caerleon Rd branch.

Fantastic customer service

A reassuring and helpful team

Having just had a difficult time with my bank, who seemed to feel that I was being difficult because I wanted to talk to an adviser in person, it was great to speak to a team who could understand exactly what I needed, and who could help me access the service I wanted.
