It was a positive experience. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We were welcomed and immediately shown into a private room with a designated member of staff. We were offered refreshments and the whole experience wasn't rushed in any way. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

I have been a member of Monmouthshire Building Society for many years now and I have always received a consistently high standard of service.I would particularly like to mention all of the team at the Monmouth branch AND Hannah at the Chepstow branch…….M B S are fortunate to have such a dedicated and professional team working for them. Please pass on my thanks. On a slightly different note thread, I shall be looking for a home for my ISA ,on April 6 ,2026 ,so hopefully M B S will have some competitive fixed rates on the table. App nightmare

App nightmare…. I just want to open another account but had to reset pin , the put in unique id. Apparently in my original welcome letter. Found an email with id. App wouldn’t accept it. Frozen out. Aaaagh Reviewed on: 27th January 2026

Tried to access account.

Tried to access account. Required to re-register as system fault. When doing do, entered unique number as e-mailed on 3 occasions but rejected on each occasion and therefore blocked. Now need to make personal contact to access account. Not very good service via app. Reviewed on: 17th January 2026

One of the good B Societies

I have been a regular customer of the building society for the last 3 years benefiting from best Savings rates. I have sometimes used customer services with good outcomes . The app service introduced is useful. It would have been convenient to access closed accounts for interest for self assessment. HOPE MY REQUEST FOR THE PAPER COPY FOR YEAR 2024-25 would be complied with Thanks Reviewed on: 14th January 2026

App would not take info given

App would not take the information given to start the account and kept getting messages to call the BS. Cust service told me to delete app and reload but same problems. Cust service tried to sort out but couldn’t. 4th attempt and a few days later, finally got it sorted. Also app tells you to call the BS between 9and 5 but seems to forget they don’t open until 10 on Wednesdays for their sleep in. Reviewed on: 14th January 2026
