Home insurance claim August 23 for water damage from...

Home insurance claim August 23 for water damage from water tank. Substantial damage to property. Found out that policy was underwritten by RSA. Nationwide completely disinterested and passed to RSA. Diabolical company to deal with. Uninhabitable home and provided no alternative accommodation for 7 weeks, have been obstructive throughout and I have severe health condition and a 3 year old with Autism. They really don’t care. Still have not settled completely and have never sent an assessor to even visit property. They lie, conveniently lose recordings of calls at will to their advantage (surprise surprise). My case is ongoing with the Ombudsman. Luckily I have documented everything. Please beware if you are unfortunate enough to have to claim they are underhanded lies. Luckily for me, I can prove this. Quick and fair

Every time I've had to make a claim the response was very quick, and they have always offered me a fair amount. The standard coverage is the best I've found, as well. I'd recommend them to anyone! Reviewed on: 16th February 2016

Not the cheapest option but convenient for me

Even though Nationwide didn't offer the cheapest home insurance (it was mid-priced) it was a recognizable brand with good cover. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2014
