Applied for a post office credit card, stated I would get interest free for 6 months on balance transfer, Just got my first statement from capital one and they charged me over £20 interest, besides a transfer fee of almost £40 (which was not the problem). Spoke to capital one, they stated the card is not eligible for interest free period. Why would one transfer a balance, pay a transfer fee and the interest, which is more than the interest on the card I transferred from. It’s now gone for a dispute resolution. To be honest the post office is still offering interest free on balance transfers for upto 12 months, but it appears capital one have not been told of this promotion. I feel I’ve been scammed and will endeavour to clear it very soon and then close the account. The post office should be ashamed, of what they are doing.
