I had a fall whilst on holiday in Fuerteventura on 2...

I had a fall whilst on holiday in Fuerteventura on 2nd January which resulted in a broken wrist. The hospital over there recommended that I return home asap has I would likely need an operation, which I did. Despite having supplied the information required by Admiral (many times over) I have still not received any payment! They where fortunate because I went to the local hospital not a private one. I am only claiming for the new flight and the 6 days unused accommodation. I would not recommend Admiral to anyone, my dealings with them have made a traumatic situation even more stressful! Admiral is not a reputable insurance company!

My husband missed his flight home due to landslide on route to the airport. He had to get a flight the next day. He was only claiming for his flight. He has sent in all the documentation but they still want more. His friend who he travelled with was reimbursed within two days without having to provide so much documentation over and over! Well priced annual multi-trip cover. I fortunately have not had to claim so can't comment on that. Seemingly pretty comprehensive with many bolt-on options. Very quick and easy online purchase on a well designed website. Reviewed on: 28th February 2025

Quick, easy and efficient

I recently had an accident in France that entailed all kinds of complicated expenses. Admiral dealt with everything quickly and efficiently. I can't fault them at all. When there were complications it was very easy to speak to someone. What more can you ask for? I'm very happy with my experience Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Will never use Admiral again

I paid for a policy to cover my pre existing conditions as I have breast cancer that spread to my brain luckily currently I have no evidence of disease but declare all this on my insurance. We were on holiday in November in the Maldives (a holiday of a lifetime that we saved for for many years). 4 days into our holiday my father in law passed away. He had medical issues, he was 81 years old. However, he wasn’t in hospital and had a heart attack at a dog groomers. We had spoken to him on FaceTime only hours before it happened. As soon as we heard the news we booked return flights. Admiral have refused the whole claim as my father in law had heart problems in the past. The terms and conditions mention pre existing conditions but only asked for details of the policy holders not family members. I just cannot believe this isn’t covered. We now feel like there is no point having insurance. We feel like they are saying we knew he might die and we certainly did not or we would not have gone away. We still have my mother in law and my parents alive so it seems we shouldn’t go on holiday while they are still alive as we wouldn’t be covered if we have to come home assuming we have a policy with Admiral which we won’t ever again. I feel at the very least I was mis sold this policy as yes there is some wording around this but no specific details were asked for and the day we went away he was given “a wonder drug, that could add years to his life” so at no point were we at an end of life situation. The form to his doctors just had a couple of very leading questions. Reviewed on: 4th February 2025

avoid this insurance company Admiral

avoid this insurance company when I fell ill with Covid and I had to cancel the rest of the trip, Admiral rejected my extension many times, they are fraudsters Reviewed on: 30th January 2025

senseless and uncaring approach

1
I had taken out gadget cover for a trip and lost a set of headphones. After waiting over a month I have had my claim declined because I hadn’t reported the loss to police. I’m not sure why anyone would report losing some headphones to the police. I made the claim whilst I was still within my insured period but nonetheless admiral say they cannot go against the fact I need a report filed within 24 hours, even despite being on a road trip in a country I didn’t have phone signal in. Senseless, thoughtless and careless approach to people. People take out insurance for protection and safety and this company will sidestep all they can to avoid their responsibility to the customer. delays less than 12 hours not covered

1
Outbound and inbound delays. No claim as neither more than 12 hours. Ok should have read the small print but for the price of a small holiday don't feel I was covered for delays that affected my health condition, all declared. Reviewed on: 21st January 2025

My luggage was lsot en route to Havan from LOndon. I logged the problem wiht e air line then treid to claom when I go home. They want receptys for everything who keeps these. Or photos of me in the outfits with links to the vendor. I do not have photos of me in my pants but everyone takes pants clothes and toiletries on holiday.
