First class banking merchants excelling in customer...

First class banking merchants excelling in customer service, both online and on the phone. All backed up by a professional, easy to navigate website and app. Offers value for money Savings rates (7% regular saver) and basically free Foreign currency transactions. Plus the app offers all the banking services that I require. Their consultant colleagues are very knowledgeable on the phone, very polite and deal expertly with technical, IT related matters. Couldn’t recommend First Direct highly enough

I have been with First Direct for a good few years now and also recommended them to my husband and both daughters. Their customer service is second to none and you can get hold of them and speak to actual people within a few minutes. They have always been so very helpful to me and more so when my card was cloned and used for large amounts. They also provided someone to go through security tips and things to watch out for. I have never encountered any issues in my time with First Direct. They offer access to a good regular savings account through holding a current account. The rate of interest is usually one of the highest I have seen on the market at any given time. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026
