The account itself was attractive at the time of opening with by far the best overdraft available on an account offering a switching bonus....

The account itself was attractive at the time of opening with by far the best overdraft available on an account offering a switching bonus.

My only concern was the lack of branches but I have been consistently impressed with the phone service available from the bank and would not consider moving to a different account.

I recently switched my current account to First Direct and haven't been overly impressed. For an online only bank, I had problems settings up online banking which wasn't a great start. I had to call a couple of times and to be fair they sorted the issues out quickly but it wasn't the best first impression. The app is also a bit clunky and doesn't update as quickly as I would like; I was previously with TSB and their app was far better.
