Absolute thieves.

Absolute thieves. Had 3 years NCD my insurance went up from £600 to £1000. Then my car was stolen a few weeks ago by a 17 year old. My insurance then went up to £3000 a year. Cant get a straight answer out of them as to why. They contact you quick enough for extra money they want out of you, but you have to chase for weeks to get an update on your recovered stolen car. I waited 5 months from the time of my accident, to get my car repaired. I was unable to trade it in, and lost over £2000 in value. Then when I finally sold it I found out on the last day the car was not put back together correctly and was unable to open the bonnet, and their repairer could not assist. Apalling service and professionalism, not worth the money. Will never ever use again.... Reviewed on: 11th May 2024

Charged more for a safer car park for my car!

I had to change my address as I had moved house. My car was on the street for parking in my old flat and in my new one it is in a private underground car park. I was being charged an addition £12 a month to my insurance because of this change? My boyfriend is saving £10 on his insurance and I am being charged £12 extra! When I phoned to ask how is this possible they said it’s because of so many factors they couldn’t even tell me one! Do not go with Tesco for car insurance! Reviewed on: 9th May 2024

Poor customer service.

Poor customer service. Poor communication. Poor service. I made a claim and it's taken 3 months to sort out. They do not chase 3rd parties, I had to do that with the garage. I would like to complain about the customer service...

I would like to complain about the customer service I have had whilst trying to cancel my insurance with you. On the 22nd January 2024 I spoke with their live chat team. I wanted to know how I can cancel my insurance with you and what outstanding fines there would be. The reason I requested this information was due to the fact I currently pay £257 per month for my insurance with you, with the addition of £170 a month for top up miles. This equates to £427 per month on insurance which was not feasible and far too expensive. I was told the total cost of cancellation would be £68.83. With this information I looked for an alternate insurance provider where I was quoted and accepted a price of £232 per month. I had to act quickly as my next monthly payment of essentially £427 was due on the 6th of February. Yesterday, I spent a total of 50 minutes on the phone to your team and was told they could not give me a cancellation price for that current day as the automated calculations were not working. Therefore, they had to contact the cancellation team to calculate a quote manually. Today I was contacted and was told it would cost me £80 to cancel + £550 for my PCL. Although you have told me I can pay this using a payment plan, I am totally shocked and stressed due to the fact I was originally quoted £68 on the 22nd January by your team. I stressed this fact to your customer service team and they said "well they shouldn't have told you that". Reviewed on: 31st January 2024

Don’t waste your money on it

So the black box of course checks for many things, and in mine it reviews me as good for everything bar speed, even though I am keeping to the speed limits 99% of the time, but have now found out that even if your below the speed limit it can still have you as going too fast if the roads aren’t the best in their view. But also the miles you get is just too much of an issue, as how much they charge if you go past the contracts limit just takes the mick! As I certainly won’t be using them again, and would strongly suggest not using them, especially if you have a black box as part of the deal Reviewed on: 30th January 2024
