Really poor claims handling.

Really poor claims handling. Bungled my non-fault claim from beginning to end. Had to constantly contact for updates and repeat my story each time. Claim wasn't logged correctly initially meaning repairs weren't arranged promptly and was without courtesy car. Then they arranged for and sent for collection of my car whilst I was on holiday despite me specifically telling them the dates I was away meaning I had to to deal with yet more calls whilst on holiday!! Asked to log a complaint officially, which I did over the phone but this was never acknowledged nor any further action taken. And now my renewal is due, and the premium is nearly 50% higher. Cannot wait to take my business elsewhere frankly. Reviewed on: 11th June 2024

The worst ive ever dealt with tried to switch policy...

The worst ive ever dealt with tried to switch policy to a different car the new car was almost half the price of the old one with any other insurer yet tesco tell me ill have to pay the same price i agree and go online to set it up i then get told after finding out my price has gone uo ill need to pay 259 a month for a car that should be 99 so i devide to cancel they tell me 40 pound to cancel i agree they then tell me they are still going to take the money for the monthi would have paid for if not cancelling which essentially made my cancel fee 229 i would keep far away and let others know to do the same Reviewed on: 5th June 2024

Absolute thieves.

Absolute thieves. Had 3 years NCD my insurance went up from £600 to £1000. Then my car was stolen a few weeks ago by a 17 year old. My insurance then went up to £3000 a year. Cant get a straight answer out of them as to why. They contact you quick enough for extra money they want out of you, but you have to chase for weeks to get an update on your recovered stolen car. I waited 5 months from the time of my accident, to g...

I waited 5 months from the time of my accident, to get my car repaired. I was unable to trade it in, and lost over £2000 in value. Then when I finally sold it I found out on the last day the car was not put back together correctly and was unable to open the bonnet, and their repairer could not assist. Apalling service and professionalism, not worth the money. Will never ever use again.... Reviewed on: 11th May 2024

Charged more for a safer car park for my car!

I had to change my address as I had moved house. My car was on the street for parking in my old flat and in my new one it is in a private underground car park. I was being charged an addition £12 a month to my insurance because of this change? My boyfriend is saving £10 on his insurance and I am being charged £12 extra! When I phoned to ask how is this possible they said it’s because of so many factors they couldn’t even tell me one! Do not go with Tesco for car insurance! Reviewed on: 9th May 2024

Poor customer service.

Poor customer service. Poor communication. Poor service. I made a claim and it's taken 3 months to sort out. They do not chase 3rd parties, I had to do that with the garage. Car still not repaired properly. Tesco not accepting liability or responsibility. Unacceptable service from an insurance provider. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024
