No help at all during covid19 NOT IN IT TOGETHER

I am self employed and will not get a penny for at least 2 months during this covid 19 crisis. I phoned asking for a pyment holiday or help, but was refused point blank. will not be using these guys again Reviewed on: 27th March 2020

Wont return my money after loan repaid

My finance which was always paid in full and on time was cleared when I purchased a new car. Despite Alphera receiving and cashing the cheque they failed to apply the funds to my account. They then took another months direct debit. Despite fully admitting they need to refund this money they are using all manner of excuses to avoid doing so, so I have now had to turn to the Financial Services Ombudsman for help. Total joke of a company that willingly lies to you over the phone. Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 12th October 2019

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced.

I was sold a faulty car by this company, I first complained nearly a year ago. Despite winning a case with the financial ombudsmen I am still awaiting for the company to uphold their decision, despite constantly chasing them. Obviously, once you no longer owe them money, then you are no longer a priority. I would think twice before choosing this financial provider as when something goes wrong, it's incredibly hard to get it rectified. Reviewed on: 8th October 2019

Great Finance compnay and great salesmen MIKE at Phantom motor company

very slow, do not refinance

I was with Alphera for HP for 4.5 years without a problem until I decided to sell my car and buy a new one. They were quick to quote on the outstanding balance and the refinance for the new car. However, after I paid my loan off, I was unable to sell my car as it still showed outstanding HP. Phone calls back and forth and still not settled. Wonder when it finally shows that I did pay it off and to be able to sell my car. Waiting game. It's been 10 days since I asked to refinance my car. Only the person who deals with my case can handle everything and is not in every day. I was getting so frustrated with their snail like pace in processing my finance that I decided to get a loan from the dealer with the same APR. This was dealt with withing 15 minutes and I can now collect my car. Reviewed on: 10th July 2019

Stay away from this company

Sold a faulty car, financed through Alphera. Told them in writing that I wanted to terminate contract as retailer took 108 days to repair my car which still isn't fixed and has 1195 extra mileage on the odometer since being in the garage. Refused to terminate because apparently I only let them and the broker know and not the garage. Contract is with Alphera not the garage I bought it from so no idea why they feel that is valid anyway. They take forever to respond, on hold for half hour at a time. They do not listen to your problems, complaints or situation. Mileage restrictions on contract without proof of current mileage at purchase date. Neglecting, inconsiderate, unprofessional, contradictory and slow to respond. Buyer Beware

I purchased a new car with this company 4 years ago. Payments were always made before they were due online everything was going great. I was working two jobs then I fell and crushed my ankle had to have surgery and things changed for me. After my surgery my health got worse and I had to file bankruptcy due to medical costs. The car financed through Alphera Financial Services was not included in the bankruptcy - they just had to be notified. After being notified, Alphera immediately locked me out of their website so I couldn't make online payments; they refused to send me invoices or statements and when I called to make payments they charged me a nice size processing fee. I continued writing and calling in an attempt to regain my online privileges, but they wouldn't allow me to be back on. I had to continue making my payments via telephone while paying the large processing fee. In October 2018, I purchased another car and used this car as a trade-in. The new company paid off the remaining balance and I had Alphera owed me a $136.00 refund. They refused to reimburse me the money owed; so I had to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office who made them reimburse my money. All I can say is consumer beware of this company. A shocking company who should be checked for doing so many things wrong

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I wish I had read your reviews on this company and would never had gone with them had I done so. I've suffered so much financially! They get second hand car dealers to sell their products, these staff tell you the wrong things. They talk about allowing you to appeal and then they've already made up their mind. They don't see the cars being sold with all their faults, nor is a report completed at the beginning and yet they expect you to return the car in completely unrealistic condition. Watch out for the credit charges on top of interest. I was landed with a hefty bill at the end!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Reviewed on: 19th March 2019

Absolutely shocking company

I foolishly didn’t research this company until after I had taken there product. To say they have no knowledge of uk consumer law is the biggest understatement I’ll ever make . Stay away from these jokers Reviewed on: 9th January 2019

Brilliant company

These guys have constantly kept me informed about everything going on with my finance. I have contacted them on various occasions about some general queries and to pay off my agreement early and the guys I've spoken to on the end of the phone have really been a great help and all really friendly.
