Inept

Tried to make a claim on behalf of my Mum, an attempted break-in. Locks were fixed at my expense, tried to report to John Lewis. Spent well over half a day getting no-where. Decided not worth claiming! Reviewed on: 24th April 2023

Impossible to contact... So slow when you do

Simple claim made December 9th 2022. No contact or movement at all for 6 weeks.. Online chat is worse than useless... I tried around 9 times and held on for hours each time... No response. Online status requests remained unansweted. It took. 4 months to get anywhere at all with this lot. I'm cancelling.... You should avoid. Reviewed on: 1st April 2023

Credit Help

I am disabled veteran who over the past 2 years had to let my credit go because of health priorities that were not covered by VA or other insurance. Anyways, I ran into some testimonies on some credit blogs on the net which led me to this specialist. My scores were 512, 515, 523 on the 3 bureaus. No public records, only 3 open acct but several collection accts with 0 balances. After a few weeks of working on my files, all collections were cleared out and my scores were boosted with 260 points. So easy to use

Useless. Typical of most home insurance companies

All very friendly when they take your money. Their assessors took one month to come & assess, but were extremely quick to dismiss our claim. Warning to all: Read the policy wording word by word because typical of most insurance companies, they will wriggle out of paying up. Don't judge a company when they take your money. 4 Years and still waiting for work to be done

Our house has been suffering from subsidence. They have admitted it needs doing. We have been made us cut down all our and our neighbours' trees. 4 years so far. Every time they submit a scope of works it is riddled with errors. Whenever we spot an error, usually an omission, it takes months for another scope of works to arrive. Yes youve guessed it, usually with the same error. Crawfords are the assessors. Whenever i try to call i just get stuck in a queue. It gives me the chance to leave my name and number whilst preserving my place in the queue - a week later still nothing. It is such a shame that John Lewis has linked itself to such a disreputable, shambolic bunch of people. Do not insure yourselves with a John Lewis Home Insurance policy of you want a policy that will pay out. Terrible Reviewed on: 19th October 2022

Great , quick response

Been with john lewis home insurance Gold package for over 10 years . We have made 2 claims the latest one was last year . Absolutely no problems just great service , within 3 weeks we had replacement carpet to the same quality we had previous Reviewed on: 18th August 2022

Total waste of space

Insured with John Lewis, had a third party claim, so you think this would not be a problem how wrong we were to think this. John Lewis now use Sedgwick as loss adjusters, who although no contractor has even been out to our property have given price for work which leaves as out of pocket if we want the work doing to same standard. John Lewis have even told us that it is not up to as what type of gates we are given even though we have matching gates with neighbours on open double drive. Total lack of service understanding or helpfulness, basically don't give a dam. You send an email asking for a call or email them to discuss problem and you receive an abrupt email back.
