Been with Barclays for years, but looking for another...

I've been with Barclays for my current account all my life - it just seemed easier to stick with the same one. No more though - I plan to change as soon as possible as one too many times they have disappointed me. Even their Student account was the least flexible when I attended uni between 2004-2007. Recently their overdraft charges have become extortionate - you get charged 75p per day if you're up to £100 overdrawn, £1.50 per day if you're up to £300 overdrawn and a staggering £3 per day if you're overdrawn by £300+. This was sprung upon me one day and started the next week - I was cruising along at minus £700, and suddenly had to find a way to get out of it, lest I end up paying £90 a month interest. Got a fee free current account.

Got a fee free current account. Easy to use and free. Good customer service via phone and app. No local Bank which is the only downside Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Just the best bank.

Just the best bank. I have a lot of difficulties in my life and they are so on point having it all on record so anyone speaking to me is aware which makes me feel so comfortable when contacting about ever and anything. Highly recommend Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Very happy Long standing Barclays Customer.

LOng standing Barclays Customer and never had any reason to look else where. Very rarely had any issues and when they have arisen they have been quickly resolved. Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Switched for nothing

I switched to Barclays purely to get the switch bonus - they took so long to authorise/process the whole thing that I never got the bonus reward. It also meant that I had no access to the account for well over a week which had some of money in it. This is the one and only time I have used a switch service and had any issues. Direct debits weren't transferred properly and had to be reset-up. The whole thing was a waste of time. I switched back as soon as I could Reviewed on: 26th February 2025
