Christmas was not cancelled!

T'was 3 days before Christmas, and i mislaid my bank card - a clever thing to do on my behalf. As the organised person i am, i hadn't done any Christmas shopping, thus meaning none of my family were going to get Christmas presents! I had turned the house upside down, to no avail. During my lunch hour in work, i went to Barclays bank to be greeted by a lovely customer service lady, who was empathetic towards my situation, i cancelled my bank card and was told that i may not get it before Christmas, which was understandable. I withdrew some money and set about buying christmas presents. On Christmas Eve, after work i came home to find a letter from Barlcays, with a new card in! Something i wasn't expecting due to Christmas postage and holidays, made up i was able to get my presents plus go out for a festive drink! Thanks Barclays for your quick and professional service. Helpful and flexible

Barclays Business Banking

I have banked with Barclays as Business Customer for 3 years. When I can do something online myself I have no issues. As with all Barclays accounts I find their online service to be vastly superior to their competition. I also have business accounts through HSBC and Nat West and their online systems and apps don't get near Barclays - Premier league versus League One! But when it comes to on the phone service, the local business managers at Barclays are lazy at best. I have only had cause to inconvenience him twice in two years - and for that I apologise - I had the gaul to send him one email - asking if he might be able to help a company I had invested in switch their business banking to barclays - he never replied and last night I emailed asking if he could help me access a long-term savings account for the business. I wanted a 90 day access account and couldn't find one online - I emailed asking for help - this was the reply; Hi Paul we don't have a 90 day notice savings account for business, all are accounts are instant access top rate at the moment is 0.5% regards, Well - done Barclays - strong customer focused effort there!!! Only pros for me

I like this account because it works well and offers a few perks that you wouldn't expect as standard for a free account. Minor login issues for internet banking sometimes, but on the whole really impressed Reviewed on: 24th October 2014

Personalised debit card and SmartSpend makes this account stand out for me

I've had an account with Barclays for a while and find them to be friendly and efficient. I like that I could personalise my card with a picture of my kids (I find it makes me use it more as well!)
