Shop around? Renewing at Policy Expert delivered!

It came to renewal and I expected the hike in premium. Yes the price had gone up but when I shopped around I was staggered. The increase across the market was not reflected in my renewal offer, I couldn't do better. As with most things these days, once the "yes" button is pressed the system takes over to process the transaction and hey presto - job done. What more can I say apart from I am truly delighted to have contained my costs which means I have saved some hard earned money. The picture the man in charge is painting suggests there will be more pain to come. For the moment I am very happy, a comprehensive policy that costs less than the competitors, thank you seems rather inadequate for the way I feel, congratulations to Policy Expert for truly delivering excellence. Was not warned in advance about renewals

I had a fine experience with Policy Expert but didn’t have any warnings when policies would be renewed. Therefore I was automatically renewed a number of times. The first first was fine, price rose by £5 per year. The second renewal they put it up by £50 with no warning! I cancelled straight away. Reviewed on: 14th October 2024

At renewal, we send our renewal invites to customers 30 days before their policy expiry date to ensure they have plenty of time to inform us of any changes before the renewal is processed. However, changes can still be made afterwards, if needed. If your policy is due to renew, premiums can go up for multiple reasons, even if everything in your application is the same. Insurance is constantly changing and shopping around can make sure that you're getting the best price and cover for your demands and needs. As a result, it's always a good idea to talk to your current insurer directly to see if there are any offers available to you and to let them know of any changes. Good quote last year.

I can say that they gave me a very good quote last year 2023 but lets see what happens this year, as I haven't had to contact them about a claim I cant say a lot. Reviewed on: 14th October 2024

Less anxiety?

Less Anxiety - Their premiums have been consistently competitive. Customer service has been prompt and helpful. Notice of renewals are sent in plenty of time should one wish to consult the market. Regular advice is received on matters pertinent to any conscientious consumer in all areas of risk - home, car and life policies. A comprehensive service that effectively meets the sometimes complicated needs of the consumer! I would heartily recommend Policy Expert if it's expert advice you require!! Tailored home and contents insurance

Filled in questionnaire on what I had to have for building & contents insurance as needed to renew. There were detailed categories of cover, essentials and add ons. Emergency cover, which being on my own, was particularly important was excellent. Legal cover was complimentary. I could adjust my quote by changing my voluntary excess and they beat the other two quotes I’d researched hands down; so as well as good value for money I felt the insurance was well tailored to my needs.
