A fantastic savings and investment hub

Hargreaves Lansdown is a fantastic hub for all savings and investment needs under one roof. There are a variety of banks and building societies to choose from offering different length terms, and it's so easy to open an account, top up, and transfer funds between banks if they offer better rates of interest. You know you can trust their list of banks, all covered by the FSCS. Once you are registered with Hargreaves Lansdown, there is no need to go through all the admin and identification required when opening accounts independently. Their communication and security are excellent, their call-back is excellent and there is a wealth of information on all areas of savings and investment. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

Review of the Trading 212, Cash ISA:

Trading 212 temporary high interest lure.

I opened a cash ISA with Trading 212 attracted by the high rate of interest. Shortly after, the rate was reduced twice, but kept high for new customers to the exclusion of existing customers. I was unimpressed by this treatment and am now contemplating where to move my ISA to. Reviewed on: 12th June 2025

Review of the RCI Bank, 95 Day Notice Account:

Chosen for the best rate at the time

I chose the 95 Day Notice Account because I was looking to renew my Fixed Interest Account, but the interest rate wasn't acceptable to fix for one year or more. The 95 Day Account offered the best rate for my monthly income, although this wouldn't normally be my choice. Reviewed on: 10th April 2025
