Absolutely appalling service from RIAS.

Absolutely appalling service from RIAS. I cancelled my policy and was due a refund, yet weeks later I’m still chasing my own money. They claim the refund was “successfully paid” to a bank account that was closed months before, despite being told this repeatedly. Customer service is completely useless – the same scripted responses over and over again, no ownership, no urgency, and no one actually resolving the issue. I’ve provided bank statements clearly showing no payment was received, yet they simply closed the case and washed their hands of it. I’ve now had no option but to escalate this to the Financial Ombudsman, which says everything about how RIAS treats its customers. Stressful, time-consuming, and frankly incompetent handling of a very simple refund. If you value your time, money, or sanity, do not insure with RIAS.
