Ordered £1000 worth of euros to be delivered to me b...

Ordered £1000 worth of euros to be delivered to me by the post office. All was fine until I opened the package. I received 6 x 100 euro notes and 5 x 50 euro notes. The rest of the order was in smaller notes. I holiday in a very small village in Kefalonia so I would have no chance of changing the large notes. No problem I thought. I’ll go to my local Sainsburys store and exchange them for smaller notes. After queuing at least 30 minutes I was told they are not allowed to exchange notes. Reviewed on: 12th September 2025
