Ripped off for walk-in exchange rate versus on-line

I walked into the store and asked to order £1600 in Euros with my nectar card. The guy told me he could give me the money now (1740 euros) but did not advise that I would have got 60euros more (for an additional £1.80) if I’d ordered online. I phoned the complaint team to be told he had no legal obligation- to notify me that the walk rate was lower than online - fine but what about ethics - 60 euros would have paid for a meal on our family holiday! Feeling really ripped off. Will never use them again Reviewed on: 4th October 2025
