Review of the RCI Bank, Fixed Term Savings Account:

Great service, product range and competitive rates.

I have held several savings accounts with RCI. All these accounts have been managed well by the bank and communication is excellent. The interest rates offered are very competitive and opening and managing the accounts is easy, helped by their very clear Website. The only issue that I did have in my early days saving with RCI was when I already held personal savings account and then wished to open a joint account. The joint account was opened and was running for about three weeks and RCI then notified me that they could not offer both joint and personal savings accounts as their methods of controlling security did not cater for each joint party to gain access under their respective log-on. I had to close my personal savings account in order to retain my joint account and have not been able to open any personal accounts with RCI. All my accounts are joint accounts and this is a very restrictive situation for anyone wishing to further business with RCI. I have not checked recently if this matter has been resolved, so I can't say if this issue still persists. I am however glad that RCI offer joint savings accounts as many competing banks do not.
