Always check your policy wording

My windscreen was smashed by a pole hitting it on my driveway, because there is a sensor in the screen it had to be replaced at a windscreen garage, I couldn’t see safely through the broken glass so when I rang I asked for a recovery service to take my car away but was told that wasn’t covered by my policy. I checked the policy wording and found that it was covered so I rang back and spoke to a different person who agreed to get it recovered, my car was collected the next day and a new screen fitted, unfortunately I had to travel 10 miles to collect it but the job was done very well. It’s always worth checking your policy wording when making a claim . When it was time to renew my motor and home insurance Admiral pushed the price way too high so I shopped around and saved £400 on my renewal cost Reviewed on: 13th October 2026

Monmouthshire building society savings account

I opened a savings account with Monmouthshire building society as they were offering a really good interest rate for 12 months, i downloaded the App and found it very easy to use, the maximum monthly investment amount is higher than most other accounts available Reviewed on: 18th April 2026

Based on the information provided, I opened a cash ISA with an attractive interest rate, once the account was set up I transferred the cash over. I’m now thinking of transferring over my existing ISA to benefit from the better interest rate. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026
