Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs! This is the worst gadget insurance experience I’ve ever had. I bought a policy for my iPad, but when I tried to make a claim, the process was absurd. The system bombarded me with an insane number of irrelevant questions (it felt like over 10,000 – literally endless and pointless probing). Then, shockingly, they demanded my personal ‘share code’ – a government-issued immigration/right-to-work code that has ZERO relevance to gadget insurance. This is a massive red flag and a clear violation of privacy standards under UK GDPR. Worse still, right after interacting with them, I started getting bombarded with spam calls from unknown numbers – something that never happened before. It strongly suggests my phone number and other personal data were shared or sold to third parties without consent, which is illegal and unacceptable. Their aggressive data collection, irrelevant demands, and apparent data mishandling have completely destroyed any trust. I cancelled immediately and will never use or recommend CoverCloud again. If you’re considering them, look elsewhere – your privacy and sanity will thank you. Stay away!” Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026
