Easy access cash ISA issues

Easy access cash ISA from YBS run for fixed periods(normally 1 year). Although you are allowed to move them, they reject any request to transfer to another firm, due to the way they chose to set up their systems. Even two hours in branch does not solve the problem. They just say their electronic systems do not allow this. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

High initial rates, low ongoing rate

Initial rates are high, however this only applies to first period (mine was 3 months). It took over 6 weeks for my isa to move, so effectively I only got 6 weeks at the enhanced rate then rate dropped by 1% Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Tembo has competitive interest rates and accrues Dailey interest (paid monthly). The app is clear but tends to log you out once a week requiring a passcode sent to your phone. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026
