Quoteline Direct is dreadful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

1
Quoteline Direct is dreadful. You cannot do anything yourself without being charged. Every tiny amendment comes with a fee, anywhere from £2 to £60. When I challenged this, the agent actually said that without these charges they would be out of a job. That tells you exactly how this business operates. Trying to cancel is no better. You are charged to leave, then they find ways to add even more fees on top. It feels deliberately obstructive. They bombard you with emails pushing you to renew, something you can easily do online, yet for anything remotely useful you are forced onto the phone. And that is where it becomes painful. The call handlers sound extremely elderly, slow, and disengaged, clearly reading from scripts with no urgency or ownership. Simple tasks take far longer than they should. The whole model is built to look cheap upfront, then quietly extract money through constant add-ons. I am genuinely relieved I never had to make a claim, I expect that would be a nightmare. Avoid.
