445% price increase for premium in 3 years

I’ve been very disappointed with Co-op Pet Insurance. My premiums have increased dramatically year after year, rising from around £25 per month to a renewal quote of over £135 per month, more than 400% within three years. My dog did develop epilepsy but a friend of mine, whose dog also has epilepsy and is on the same treatment only saw his policy jump from £22 pm to £37 pm with Waggle. As someone with a pet that has a lifelong condition, switching insurers is not a realistic option. On top of this, claim payments can take a very long time, sometimes close to a month to be settled. I would not recommend them based on my experience. I imagine any good reviews are from people who never make a claim. Reviewed on: 24th August 2026
