A waste of time for small businesses

I needed business insurance for my company. The online form gave me a Public and Product Liability quote. I also needed Money Protection and Contents cover, so I called Hiscox. The call took 30 minutes to pass the new details to the underwriters. Afterwards, Hiscox emailed me a new quote with all three covers. The email said my quote was "ready to go" and told me to click "Buy now". I clicked it and got an error page saying "We've slipped up! Sorry, we experienced some technical issues." I called again and waited on hold. They then told me the quote was not ready after all and was still with the underwriters. So Hiscox sent me an email telling me to buy a policy that I could not buy. Their website failed, and I had to spend more time on hold to learn something they should have told me in the first place. Business owners don't have time for this. If a quote is still with the underwriters, don't send an email saying it's ready. Fix the link between your systems and your emails, or tell customers clearly where their quote stands. Two long phone calls and still no policy is not acceptable. I left your quote reference (PSC1-4045623) out of the review.
