Reversing into a space, a car pulls out and hits me...

Reversing into a space, a car pulls out and hits me in Tesco Store car park, I have dash cam, I have the person who drove into me asking permission to take a photo of my car, I have him in the recording. I got Tesco own CCTV showing it happening. Tesco will not persue liability as the claim will be within the excess. I am left with having to declare that I got hit, without liability being proven, which is a coast to me. Tesco insurance, just as a thank you sent my renewal through with a 52% hike, I had protected no claims!!! I only ever use names that are big, what a mistake with Tesco. Last call to them, waited over 20 minutes to even start to chat with a claims handler. I had to sort out my own car, privately. You have been warned. I am sure that you will get a good service from them, if you don't claim. Reviewed on: 26th October 2026
