A Has been bank

I've been with this bank since 1981 and they used to say "we're a friend for life" but it's not true. They've gutted the staff, tried to automate systems but done it badly, went bust, and are becoming irrelevant due to new banks like Revolut. Whenever I tried to make helpful comments or give feedback, over the years, they were ignored as the irrelevant ramblings of a lowly serf. Reviewed on: 24th January 2020

Revolutionary

I've been with Bank of Scotland since 1981 and their slogan used to be "A friend for life." I soon realised this wasn't true and it was sad to see their inability to properly deal with loyal customers like me or with the opportunities of IT. I've been offered countless new accounts with new banks of every sort, but went with Revolut because so many friends had recommended it and particularly because I was planning foreign travel and Revolut don't fleece you every time you do a foreign transaction -- unlike the High St banks. And it's been great. I've only had one minor issue and a real person got back to me very quickly and resolved the issue in a jiffy. Reviewed on: 24th January 2020
