Try Triodos!

I love that Triodos gives me a chance to put my money somewhere where it does positive good (not just 'not doing bad'). All works as smoothly as any other bank, but it's not 'any other bank'. And great customer service. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Put your money where your mouth is!

Triodos is the bank you've been looking for! The service is good and you deal with a real human being. Most importantly for me I know my money is being invested in things that do good in the world (not just NOT being invested in harmful things). We need to put our money where our mouth is and with Triodos you don't have to compromise. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

Ethical mortgage provider

I'm impressed by Nationwide. I was only prepared to get my mortgage with an ethical / mutual provider. Thanks to Nationwide's good rates I didn't lose out financially for sticking to my principles. Their service has also been unfaultable. Reviewed on: 17th January 2023

All banks should be like Triodos

I'm so pleased Triodos exists! It's so much more than just an ethical bank (ie not investing in fossil fuels and gambling, important though that is) - it actively invests my money in small enterprises I thoroughly approve of and want to encourage, It's also efficient and friendly. If only all banks were like this

Triodos is brilliant because it does what you need a bank to do - but it also does loads of good for society and the environment (that is - for all of us). There are other 'ethical' banks and building societies but Triodos gets my vote because it's ethical policy isn't just about not investing in 'bad' things like tobacco but in investing in good things like small businesses that are trying to make a positive difference in the world.
