Poor communication with Nationwide.

I had a credit card with Nationwide and had a credit limit of £3000 then whilst on holiday they without warning reduced this to £500. As I was on holiday I couldn’t phone them to ask why. When I got home after much searching I found out it was because I owed an old bank £36 which I wasn’t aware of.. I was annoyed because Nationwide even after several emails couldn’t tell me why the reduction or why I had no pre warning. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026
