With Laka from the start

I've ben a customer of Laka from the start and it continues to be the best solution for bike insurance in the marketplace. In that time I've had to regrettably make 2 claims and on both occasions the claims were dealt with quickly and comprehensively. That's the true test of an insurance, not the act of purchasing it in the first place. Reviewed on: 28th August 2026

Terrible.

Terrible. Firstly a few months ago they approved 4 payments to some AI subscription scam without asking me to authorise the payment. They paid it back to me, but still! Then recently they asked me to authorise a payment to my car insurance provider which I did in the app and they still rejected the payment. This resulted in a £20 failed payment surcharge which Curve refused to refund me. I’m done. Bunch of cowboys and can’t trust them to handle my transactions any more. Cancelled my card and account. Been with Laka for years, right from the start.

Market leading saving rate and a clever AI-based app that helps you save

Getting 1.25% return on my savings is unheard of in the current climate so very happy with that. The AI-based app works really well at squirrelling away amounts you can afford on a regular basis, helping to save without noticing (too much), and which over time can add up to significant amounts of money.
