Established, Low fees, Lots of Choice

I decided to open a Stocks and Shares ISA with Trading 212 as it's an established platform, the fees are low, and there are lots of investment choices. It was easy to get started and the pies feature allows for passive investing. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Alongside ISAs and Premium Bonds it's good to have another account that gives tax free returns. Chip have also launched a Spring Draw and deposits into the Prize Savings Account give you entries into that draw as well. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2026

I transferred my Cash LISA from Moneybox to Tembo as they were offering a significantly better interest rate. The whole process only took a couple of days and the communication from Tembo has been really good. Tembo also offer free mortgage advice if you save with them which is great. Competitive Interest Rates

I have a limited access cash ISA with Coventry Building Society and after the last Bank of England base rate cut I was expecting my rate to fall by 0.25% in line with all my other accounts with other banks/building societies. However the rate only fell by 0.15% which was a pleasant surprise. I think Coventry Building Society do try to offer the best possible rates. Reviewed on: 26th January 2026

Second consecutive year of car insurance with Aviva

I'm in my second consecutive year of car insurance with Aviva as the renewal quote was competitive which was a nice surprise. I tried to get them to match other slightly lower quotes but they wouldn't. I still renewed with Aviva as the small saving by switching to another provider wasn't worth the admin time.
