Buildings Insurance Claim

I made a buildings insurance claim. It turned into a formal complaint to the CEO. I then had to escalate to the Ombudsman. All HUGELY time-consuming/stressful when I'm trying to care for my partner who has Stage 4 cancer! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2026

If you need help this is who to go to !

We have had excellent home insurance found by them with companies we would never have thought of e.g. Salvation Army . They come back to you when they promise and nothing is too much to ask for. They recently sorted out insurance for a complex renovation. They were excellent in what they found we have never used a broker before but now would only use them . Well done and thank you . DO NOT TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THEM

DO NOT TAKE OUT ANY INSURANCE WITH THEM - THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MONEY BUT WILL IGNORE YOU IF YOU CLAIM OR MAKE ANY COMPLAINTS AND FIND ANY EXCUSE NOT TO PAY OUT!!! Also please be very careful as they have unfair terms in their policy, so it is will be virtually IMPOSSIBLE for you to have a “valid” claim. Can I urge all those who have also been mis-sold a policy to put a bad review about them to warn others and report them to the Financial Ombudsman and Trading Standards, as they should be heavily fined by the FSA.
