More than two months after the maturity date, I have not received payment and Clerical Medical are claiming it will take their back office 26 working days (!) to mail me forms to complete. Appalling customer service that feels like a deliberate attempt to delay payment.

Unbelievable delays

Tried to progress a notification of death this morning. No delays in speaking to an assistant but was advised that they had a huge backlog in bereavement team such that once death certificate received it was currently 114 days before they would be able to Read more

Tried to progress a notification of death this morning. No delays in speaking to an assistant but was advised that they had a huge backlog in bereavement team such that once death certificate received it was currently 114 days before they would be able to process a valuation for probate. This is 10 weeks longer than any other company I am dealing with over investments is estimating

After my Mother died we had to inform all the outfits she had invested in and obtain valuations for Probate.
Everyone duly obliged except CM. Phone call after phone call was met with delay tactics and stalling and in the end, outright lying.
After weeks of hassle we got our valuation but then the real challenge happened - claiming the fund. We got the Halifax Bereavement department involved and amazingly they got the same treatment.
Finally I told them I was going to the Police as I smelt a rat.
That did the trick.
No one in their right mind would invest with these people - look at all the appalling reviews on line. Awful.
