When is travel insurance NOT travel insurance ?

I took out a Silver annual multi-trip policy with Virgin UK july 22nd. I fell at work august 4th, fractured my elbow and rang to update them of my medical status shortly after the injury. I was advised to cancel my policy because they could no longer insure me for my said medical condition! Despite no substantial result by discussing my only offered option of cancellation with 2 different operators; I then asked to speak with a manager. Admittingly my booked call-back came withi...
