Review of the One Call Insurance, Car insurance broker:

Inhumane, unkind, not helpful

I joined One Call from go compare, for the cheapes car insurance, I don't need much, I drive well, safely for nearly 5 decades. I am a poor, nearly retired, almost pensioner. A rep phoned me and, in context, I said I babysit, nanny 2 children but do not consider that 'working'. I suppose it meant I'm self employed. He sympathised. Then One Call threatened to cancel virtually accusing me of lying. So I immediately paid another £90, which included large admin fees to change the policy and they CONTINUED TO THREATEN ME by text even though I had remedied this by saying that I'm 'working'. You can't phone them, speak with a human, unless you are a wealthy 'platinum member' of their very expensive club; I'm not that savvy online, it takes me hours to mull over these types of forms. It's the fact they continued to threaten, became expensive, you cant speak with a human, live chat tries to disappear as quickly as possible, live chat would not asnwer my question - why are they threatening me still when I changed the policy and paid up? I wish I had never gone near them, horrid system, uncaring about not wealthy, not savvy people. Reviewed on: 8th October 2024
